Your driver collects you from your Marrakech hotel in the early hours—typically 4:30 to 5:00 AM depending on season and sunrise time. The drive to the launch site in Agafay takes about 30 minutes. You'll arrive to find the balloon crew already preparing, laying out the envelope and checking equipment. After a short safety briefing and hot drink, you'll board the basket. Within minutes, the burners ignite and you're lifting off the ground in near-total silence, the landscape unfolding below as the first light touches the Atlas ridges.

You'll drift at roughly 500 to 1000 meters, following the wind currents over the Agafay plains. Berber villages appear as clusters of clay buildings nestled into valleys. Date palms catch the warm light. The pilot points out geographical features and answers questions—where water sources are, how settlements adapted to the terrain, the seasonal rhythms of the landscape. The silence is striking. Most passengers find themselves simply watching, processing the scale and beauty of what's below.

The basket touches down smoothly on open ground. The chase crew is there to help you out, and soon you're walking to a nearby Berber camp or garden space for breakfast. You'll sit with other passengers from your flight, sharing the experience and photos.
